Making memories for our families

We recently received a heartfelt message from Evie’s family.

We recently granted a special wish for Evie, who’s been facing an incredibly tough journey with Hodgkin lymphoma. Her family kindly shared these words with us - and we wanted to pass them on, because they capture exactly why Dreams & Wishes exists.

Their letter read:

"To the incredible team at Dreams & Wishes,

"We are writing with full hearts and deep gratitude for the extraordinary kindness you’ve shown our daughter, Evie. Since her diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma, Evie has faced unimaginable challenges.

"The aggressive chemotherapy has left her with neuropathy and pain in her hands, making writing nearly impossible. On top of that, she’s missed a significant amount of school during a critical year—her GCSEs—and the anxiety around falling behind has weighed heavily on her.

"Evie is a bright, creative soul with a passion for photography and 3D printing. But without a working laptop, she was struggling to keep up with homework and unable to pursue the things that bring her joy. Doing everything on her phone was frustrating and limiting—and watching her lose confidence was heartbreaking.

"Then your charity stepped in.

"The gift of a laptop has transformed Evie’s world. She now has the tools to study, create, and dream again. You’ve not only lightened her academic load—you’ve lifted her spirits and reminded her that people care. She feels seen, supported, and empowered.

"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You’ve given Evie the opportunity to succeed, and more importantly, the belief that she can.
