fullcircleclimbIn the hope to raise £50,000 for Dreams & Wishes Marc Eckley, Managing Director of Fullcircle Facilities Management Ltd is embarking on a challenge of a lifetime. On 13th October 2013 Marc and his team, consisting of Gary Parker, Carly Spillane, Eleftheria Karystiani, Deborah Harvey, Lee Jukes, Mairead McGoldrick and the gold medal-winning Paralympian, John Harris who is regarded as one of the most influential people in respect of wheelchair sport in the UK; will push themselves to the limit by climbing the world’s highest freestanding mountain. At 5,896 meters the team will have made the gruelling journey through dense tropical rainforest to the mighty snow-capped summit. read more

‘Thanks a Million’ initiative honours Dreams & Wishes

CardiffCityChequeCardiff City FC has renewed their support of Dreams & Wishes this week as they kindly donated a cheque at their ‘Thanks a Million’ dinner event.

Following their promotion to the Premier League, the football club have decided to celebrate by creating their ‘Thanks a Million’ programme, which will see them donate one million pounds to charities around the Cardiff area, for as long as they stay in the top league. read more

Wish Story: Llywelyn goes to Thomas Land!

Llywelyn is 10 years old and lives in Wales. When Llywelyn was 4, he was diagnosed with a brain tumour which meant that his life was turned upside down. Llywelyn’s dream was to visit Thomas Land as he is a massive Thomas the Tank Engine fan, so Dreams & Wishes organised for him and his family to spend the day there. read more

SMS fundraising set up for Dreams & Wishes by Core Telecom

LSian and Johnong standing Dreams & Wishes supporter, Core Telecom, have helped to boost fundraising efforts by supplying the charity with an easy way for supporters to donate.

Core Telecom has provided the charity with two SMS short codes, which allow people to donate either £3 or £10, by simply sending a text message containing a keyword to 70111.

As Sian and her team prepare to climb Mount Kilimanjaro next year, the charity needs to raise funds to ensure that they are able to reach the summit and raise vital funds to ensure the charity continues to work with as many seriously ill children as possible which these short codes will make it easier to do. read more
